I chose a light house for my logo for two reasons:

1. My name, Alfaro, means "to the lighthouse" in Spanish.

2. A lighthouse is a great example of what the relationship between a teacher and learner should be. When the teacher-learner relationship is at its best, the teacher simply guides the learner by shedding light on the situation at hand. The learner--- "the ship at sea"--- plots an independent course, confident in the teacher's guidance and his or her own capabilities.
